Travel

The Awakenings Retreat begins at 4pm on Thursday, October 19, and concludes at 12pm on Monday, October 23.

Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements getting to and from the hotel.

The nearest airport is the Dalaman International Airport (DLM).

Please check with your country of residence regarding visa entry requirements in advance of your travel and arrival dates.

Meals

Meals are provided for the duration of the event, beginning with dinner the first evening of the retreat, and concluding with breakfast on the last day of the gathering. Options will be provided for varied diets, and needless to say, all meals provided will be halal and zabiha.

Children

Children aged 13 and above must be registered as a participant if they will be attending the event. Children between the ages 1-12 are welcome to be a guest with their parents, however please note that parents are solely responsible for the maintenance and supervision of their children, and will be expected to do so in a manner that does not interfere with event programming.

While children are encouraged and welcome to participate in dhikr and prayer sessions, they likely will be unable to sit quietly for meditation, lessons and such, and provisions will have to be made during these activities.

The hotel does provide services and facilities that cater to activities and entertainment for children, and more information regarding these can be found here. Please note that if you are bringing children with you, you cannot register for and request a double occupancy room unless you are attending with your spouse.

Cancellations

Events of this nature require extensive planning and preparation well in advance, and can accommodate but a limited number of participants. It is essential that we have a viable budget allocated with which to organize and execute a successful live event, therefore, please note that we have a limited refund policy. Should you be required to cancel after having registered, you will be eligible for a 50% refund until August 14. After this date, there are no refunds.

Responsibility

By attending the Awakenings Retreat, you certify that you are in adequate physical health and psychological wellbeing to do so, and that you participate and attend the event solely at your own risk. Needless to say, while we will do everything in our power to provide a safe environment and programming for all participants, we cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen events or circumstances that may arise.

By registering for and attending the Awakenings Retreat, all participants do so at their sole personal responsibility, and agree to hold BorderPoint Media, Emil Ihsan Alexander Torabi and all affiliated parties free from any claims of injury.

Our moving meditation sessions will be taught by an experienced lifelong practitioner and framed within the context of an Islamic and faith-based approach to the practice.
