  1. Is it not considered, ‘Shirk’ to connect with Saints and passed on people? If we’re trying to connect to our prophet (SAW), there’s an association (?) … Is this not haram?

    1. Brother Hassan, to briefly address your comment and question, “shirk” is associating partners with Allah, i.e. believing in gods other than God. Souls and hearts are not limited as are physical bodies, and when bodies are laid to rest, the souls and spirits are liberated. The path of al-Islam is for us to help us actualize these deeper dimensions of spiritual reality while alive, yet each will experience awakening at death.

It is an order of Allah Almighty to send salutations upon the Prophet ﷺ, and he has stated that when we do, Allah Almighty returns his soul to his body (which is fresh and alive—the earth is prohibited from consuming the bodies of prophets, saints and martyrs) to respond to your greetings.

In any case, it’s a vast subject, and one that requires far more nuance and clarification than is possible here. May Allah Almighty guide to what is best and most blessed. To your divine and eternal success.

  2. Salaams upon you, your family and Community dear Ihsan. I am looking forward towards starting the awakenings programme. As you recommend, slow and sure steps towards the accumulation of this precious knowledge is the key.’

    1. Welcome, brother Ali. Happy to have you with us. May Allah Almighty continue to bless your journey and expand your heart.
